The staff of Region 37 is happy to provide you with an invitation to the 2010 Pony Express Winter Soccer Tournament.  We are very proud of the results of our 2009 tournament and the efficiency with which it was accomplished and are very confident that this year’s tournament will be even better!  We are expecting approximately 150 teams to be participating this year, with awards going to the 1^st through 4^th place teams in each flight.  Each team is guaranteed three games.

The 2010 Pony Express will be conducted January 15^th thru 18^th, 2010 at our soccer facilities in Corona - Norco, for all AYSO teams in the U10, U12 & U14 age divisions.  All players and coaches will receive t—shirts, tournament pins and programs as well as other goodies.  We are planning LA Galaxy fun events and other Galaxy item giveaways.  We are also hoping to have Galaxy player appearances and promotional activities at the tournament site.

The tournament fee is $475 ($425 for U10), with a requirement of an additional $175 referee deposit.  Each team will be required to supply three AYSO qualified referees to do a minimum of three games.  Teams that provide a referee team that completes the required amount of game assignments will have their referee deposit refunded to them within ten days of the conclusion of the tournament.  Each referee completing assignments (including standby assignments) will receive a tournament pin, coin and refreshments.  Individual referees completing three or more assignments will receive a free tournament T-shirt.

We are also looking for a few great people to work as field check-in monitors at the fields for small shifts each day.  Volunteers will receive free T-shirts and refreshments and our great company!  Call Elsa Ellingson at (951) 736-2072.

We encourage you to get your entries in early to ensure your team gets in the tournament program!  To reserve a place in this year’s tournament please complete the accompanying application and remit a check for $650 or $600 to “R37 Pony Express”.  Mail the check and application to: (AYSO Checks Only)

In the event that the tournament should be postponed for any reason, the new dates will be February 5th thru 7th, 2010.  A refund of tournament fees will be granted with a 30 day notice of non-participation.  If notification is received less than 30 days before event a refund will be granted only if your position is refilled referee deposits will be refunded for any teams not participating.
